Conrad Grebel

Explore the many ways that music is meaningful in today’s world through a flexible program combining theory, studio, performance and history. Investigate the "edges" of music including relationships between music and technology, film, gender, or psychology. Travel to England or South Africa to experience and study music.

Grebel is home to the University of Waterloo's Music department and offers instruction in more than 20 instruments as well as vocal lessons.

In the Music Department you will find supportive environment for majoring in music or pursuing a variety of different program options combining music with other subjects. Students in all UW programs are welcome to take music courses and to participate in choirs, instrumental ensembles, and studio.

UW’s music graduates excel in a variety of careers including public, private, and post-secondary school teaching, performance, music ministry, and business. Many grads have pursued Masters and PhD degrees in music. Read More
