Ford-Harrison Church Music Award
One award of approximately $1500
The award is available to students enrolled in one of the Church Music and Worship academic plans to offset expenses related to tuition fees or enrichment activities in the are of church music and worship. Application is by letter to the Director of the Church Music and Worship program.

The Jean Caya Music Award
Usually two awards of approximately $2000 for up to four years
This award supports and promotes musical gifts among students studying at CGUC and pursuing Music studies at UW. Recipients will be chosen giving preference to the following criteria:
• Students pursuing or who plan to pursue a Music Major or Joint Honours
• Students enrolled in a music course at Conrad Grebel University College
• Demonstrated musical and academic ability (instrumental, vocal, research)
• Contribution to the music program of the College.

The Rudolf and Hedwig Rempel Music Award
Two awards of approximately $2000 for up to four years
This award supports and promotes musical gifts among students studying at Conrad Grebel University College and pursuing Music studies at the University of Waterloo. The award will be used to attract gifted students into the Arts Faculty (first year) and acceptance into the Music Program (in the second year). Normally a student will receive 25% of the award in each of their four years of study. Recipients will be chosen giving preference to the following criteria:
Clemens Scholarships in Music
Two awards of approximately $1000
Each year, these scholarships are given to general and honours music majors
or to joint honours music majors who are entering or continuing studies
towards a degree in music. The following criteria for scholarships will
be considered: academic excellence, achievement in performance (Music
Studio course), and overall contribution to the music program (participation
in Grebel-organized ensembles, recitals or chamber music). At least two
music courses per term are required for recipients of music scholarships.
Nominations are normally made by the members of the Music faculty.
The Agnes Giesbrecht Choral Music Scholarship
One award of approximately $1200
This award supports and promotes choral music and training among students
enrolled in the Music Program at Conrad Grebel. The applicant will have
a strong academic record, be actively involved in the Music Program, possess
excellent vocal skills, and demonstrate a keen interest in choral music,
including the Russian Mennonite choral music tradition. The recipient
will be a member of the Chapel Choir and will serve as assistant to the
Director of the Chapel Choir.
Application Process:
Please send a short (2-3 paragraph) application to Kenneth Hull, Director of Chapel Choir, by May 31 preceding the fall term during which you wish to serve. Outline your musical qualifications (academic and performance background and skills). Indicate why you are interested in this scholarship and why you believe you are a good candidate for this position.

Evanov Radio Group Music Award
One award of approximately $1000
This award supports and promotes a Canadian Student enrolled in the Music Program at the University of Waterloo at Conrad Grebel University College who demonstrates financial need by qualifying for the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP).
Application Process:
A letter of application submitted to the Chair of the Music Department, accompanied by proof of OSAP eligibility.
The Abner Martin Music Scholarship
One award annually
This award given by the Menno Singers to one student who will be enrolled in a full-time music major or minor program at the undergraduate level; is affiliated with an MCEC congregation; and has demonstrated involvement and proficiency in musical activities in church and community.

The Music and Culture Award
This award supports music students who want to participate in a University of Waterloo "Music and Culture" travel course (MUS 355). Recipients will be nominated by the Music Department from among students who are enrolled in MUS 355 who have submitted letters of interest. Recipients must be involved in the Music program. Financial need will be given priority.
