Peace and Conflict Studies Graduates
use their training in diverse fields. Since conflict is part of everyday life, students can use the concepts and skills learned in many careers. Students who have studied PACS have become community leaders in conflict management, human resources work, international development, teaching and law. They have also gone on to successful graduate study.
are dedicated to helping students learn how to creatively engage conflict and use it as an impetus for positive and just social change. Students can shape a unique program of study that meets their individual goals, through a combination of PACS Core courses, and interdisciplinary Content Courses .
Students can pursue a PACS Major, Joint Major with another degree, or Minor or Option with many UW majors. It can also be studied as a post- or non-degree Diploma.

Each year in the last part of the Winter term, PACS and Grebel Students are invited to participate in the C. Henry Smith Peace Speech Contest. This year's winner was PACS student, Sara Brubacher. The title of her speech was, "Planting Olive Trees: Giving a Voice to the Voiceless."
