  4. Court case, Alfred Penner, Petitioner and Edward Schreyer and George Epp, Respondents, June, 1974; plus photocopies of clippings related to case. An attempt to invalidate election since George Epp, a lay Mennonite minister, was returning officer. Donated by Frank H. Epp, July, 1974.
  5. Court report, Corporation of the Village of Stouffville, Appellant and Mennonite Home Association of York County and the Corporation of the Village of Stouffville, Respondents, October, 1972. A taxation issue.
  6. Indenture (Deed of partition) between Elizabeth Bowman (widow) and Anna Bowman (single woman), both of Berks County, Pa., Oct. 11, 1816. Divides property owned in Waterloo Township, Ontario.
  7. Court case, Friesen-Braun lawsuit in Saskatchewan, 1926-1929. The collection consists of photocopies of clippings and letters related to this legal case, 100+ pages.

Agreement between the Trustees appointed by the Mennonite Society and the Corporation of the Town of Waterloo, transferring the principal of Abraham Erb's legacy ($500) of 1829 to the City, provided it was still used for the benefit of the poor, Dec. 30, 1889. Signed by Elias Snider, Andrew Gorff and John E. Brubacher for the Mennonites and Mayor Kumpf for the Town.

    Scope and content : Transcription by Cameron Knight from the Upper Canada Sundries (microfilm C-68895, pages 100205 to 100223). Several Markham area Mennonite family names are found among the witnesses, including Wismer, Reesor, Brake, Ramer. File also includes correspondence between Cameron Knight and Laureen Harder-Gissing.
