The Mennonite Archives of Ontario holds ca. 22 feet of newspaper clippings, beginning in the 1920s until about 2001. However about 90% are from the period from 1972-present. Many of these derive from a commercial clipping service that supplied clippings about Mennonites to the Mennonite Reporter, the Canadian Mennonite, and Mennonite Central Committee. Consequently the clippings come from across Canada and come from both daily and weekly newspapers. The Mennonite Archives of Ontario is the final depository for these clippings. This subscription ended in October 2001. Newspapers from many metropolitan area can now be searched directly on the Internet, though a fee may be involved.
The clippings are organized in chronological order only. There is no subject access at this time.
