Program description

Experience the music and cultural life of London and Leipzig from the 16th Century to the present through concerts, museums, galleries and architecture and walking tours. London's cultural life is among the richest in the world, and its over 2,000-year history as a settlement on the shores of the Thames River is everywhere present in its countless archeological sites and ancient buildings and reconstruction, such as the functioning replica of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.
Leipzig, Germany, has for centuries been a major centre of learning and culture.  It is the home of the annual Bach Festival and former residence of Bach, Schumann, Mendelssohn, and many other composers.
